Employment errors... as described by Gina deLapa in the National Business Employment Weekly (October 11, 1998):
-- An executive assistant demanded that her break be extended from 15 to 17 minutes to accommodate the walk between her cubicle and the break room.
-- An employee sent Christmas cards stamped with the office postage meter to the managing partners.
-- A job candidate contended "If anything happens to me, you'll just have to feel guilty" when told he wouldn't get benefits until the 30th day of employment.
-- A salesman submitted an expense report for the seven miles he drove to attend the Christmas party at a local restaurant.
-- A customer service representative asked for two pairs of scissors: "one for work and one for home".
-- A student applying for a copywriting position at a marketing consulting firm submitted a term paper titled "The Evils of Making a Profit" as his writing sample
